The library tries to purchase all the new, hot titles that people love to read, but since we have limited resources, we ask people to reserve the books they really want to read in advance.

Books, References And Directories
Along with our large collection of fiction, non-fiction and reference books, the Renfrew Public Library book collection also includes:

• Over 500 talking books.
• Over 800 large print books.
• Telephone directories of major Canadain cities.
• General and Subject Encyclopedias.
• Extensive reference collection, including business and trade directories.
• Over 380 titles in the Local History collection.

The library carries a number of Ottawa Valley community and large urban centre newspapers including:

• Arnprior Chronicle Guide
• Renfrew Mercury
• Renfrew Weekender
• Eganville Leader

• Toronto Saturday Star
• 50 general interest and specialized magazines for both adults and children

Computers, Programs and Internet Access
Community access terminals are available at the library, along with Internet access for both adults and children.

• Seven computer terminals with High Speed Internet access
• Word processing programs
• PowerPoint 2000 software
• Excel software
• Numerous additional programs
• Wireless internet access to your own laptop

Local Historic Information
Heritage Renfrew is the local custodian of a wealth of local historic documents, photographs, newspapers, maps and microfilm.
