The Town of Renfrew, founded in the early 1800's, is rich in heritage and tradition with a modern approach to business and commercial development. Strategically placed on the Transcanada Highway, Renfrew is the commercial hub of Renfrew County.
Located less than an hour from Ottawa, Canada's Capital, and Algonquin Park, Renfrew offers exciting, year-round tourism attractions. In addition, the cities of Montreal, Toronto and North Bay are only hours away.
Renfrew is home to many businesses successfully operating in many sectors including manufacturing, retail, professional services, tourism and food services.
Economic Development has been significant with the addition of large retail outlets on O'Brien Road matched with traditional, friendly, rural service in our bustling downtown core. A strong telecommunication infrastructure is in place to support telecommuters, high tech companies and call centres.
Visitors can access the state-of-the art library services, recreation centre and arena or watch a movie in the historic O'Brien Theatre.
The Renfrew Victoria Hospital, fire and police services provide top-quality care and safety, while the numerous service clubs meet the needs of the community. The Chamber of Commerce runs the Renfrew Information Centre, located on Raglan Street, where visitors can stop for guidance and where to stay, eat or explore.
Welcome to the Town of Renfrew!
